School of Nursing and Midwifery Research Centers

In addition to carrying out research and educational activities,School of Nursing and Midwifery organizes research centers, including three centers of research and a research unit.These centers are under the direct management of centers authorities and under the supervision of vice president of research centers, which included:

 

  Nursing and Midwifery Care Research Center:

In 2010, nursing and midwifery care center started its activities with permission from the Council of Universities of Medical Sciences and with 12 full-time faculty members; five part-time members is responsible for organizing research activities in the field of nursing and midwifery.At present, 31 implemented projects and 66 research projects are ongoing activities of the center.

 

o   Mission of Nursing and Midwifery Care Center:

 Development of Nursing and Midwifery knowledge with basic and applied research in various fields of nursing and midwifery

 Introduce functional areas of nursing and midwifery research and publish the results at national and international levels

 Presentation of research-based evidence required for reasoned decision making in planning, teaching and nursing and midwifery

 Development of Nursing and Midwifery evidence-based knowledge to improve the quality of nursing and midwifery services

 Support for researchers, encouraging and strengthening the professional and inter-sectorial cooperation in health system to meet the needs of the Muslim community

 Introduce the role and importance of fundamental concepts of nursing and midwifery profession

 Knowledge, motivation and capabilities of research nurses and midwives

 

   Wound Healing Research Center

The center was established in 2010 with permission of the expansion of medical sciences faculty council with six full-time and four part-time faculty members.  

 

o   Mission of Wound Healing Research Center

* To develop of Nursing and Midwifery knowledge with basic and applied research in various areas of wound healing

* To introduce   application of wound healing research results and publish the results in national and international levels

* To provide research-based evidence to reasoned making decision in planning, teaching and healing

* To develop Nursing and Midwifery evidence-based knowledge to enhance the quality of service delivery, wound healing

* To support for researchers, encouraging and strengthening the professional and inter-sectorial cooperation in health system to meet the needs of the Muslim community

* To introduce the role and importance of fundamental concepts of wound healing

* To Identify and improve motivations and research empowerment in nurses and midwives

 

·        Women's Health Research Unit

In 2010, this research unit started its activities with permission from the Council of Universities of Medical Sciences and with 6 full-time faculty members, 4 part-time members in line with the objectives of its unit.

 

-   Mission of Women's Health Research Unit

Center for Women's Health Research is the first research center in the country which was established to take some effective measures for the promotion of research, education and practical findings with practices such as applied and fundamental research,empowerment of scientific departments, inter-intra sectorial cooperation, increase knowledge of the health system, increase the skills of regional and international community to improve the health of women.
